The World Health Statistics series is the WHO’s annual compilation of health statistics for its 194 Member States. This report focuses on the health and health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and associated targets by bringing together data on a wide range of SDG indicators on health. It also links to the 3 SDG-aligned strategic priorities of the WHO’s 13th General Programme of Work, 2019-2023. Amongst other essential information on health statistics, it helps illuminate how emerging programs need to account for the role of gender, age, and vulnerability on disease outbreaks. This report can inform program design and monitoring in the context of SDGs.
