In poor nations, enteric fever is a widespread yet dangerous illness that mostly affects children and adolescents. Effective prevention and control strategies have been recommended taking into consideration the present state of diagnostics, recent surveillance procedures, and vaccine research activities. A comprehensive policy framework and integrated strategy are needed for the prevention, control, and eradication of typhoid fevers.
