This article studies the similarities and differences between COVID-19 and TB. It concludes that any government's sole focus on COVID-19 management could damage the fragile gains achieved in the elimination of TB under WHO's END TB strategy. It also suggests that strategies adopted for curbing TB and COVID-19 epidemics have the potential to complement each other leading to overall decrease in mortality. However, leveraging these synergies will require a reframing of health policies, and putting in place a coordinated approach between the government, public and the private health sectors. it is a useful article for policy makers.
