11 Jun 2021

Malnutrition is a major contributor to India's disease burden. This study assess the disease burden caused by malnutrition and trends in its indicators across the country in relation to nutrition targets. The trends up to 2017 indicate that substantially higher rates of improvement will be needed for all malnutrition indicators in most states for India to achieve its 2022 targets and the global 2030 targets. The state-specific findings in this report indicate the effort required for each state to improve tracking and motivating further progress. The findings from this research can be useful for policymakers.  Click here to read more.
