The Global Financing Facility: Roadmap for Gender Equality

16 Nov 2020

This roadmap aims to strengthen global efforts and support country-led processes to bridge gender inequality gaps for women, children, and adolescents. The roadmap establishes a strong relationship between gender equality and health in two areas: (i) how gender inequality undermines health outcomes, and (ii) how investing in gender equality can improve health and nutrition outcomes. The areas where health is undermined include reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, adolescent health, and nutrition. The GFF's guiding principles are country-led, making them context-specific, equitable, efficient, result-oriented, and complementary. This Roadmap can be used as a reference during policymaking and program design.
