Across the world, far too many children and young people do not get the diets they need, which undermines their capacity to grow, develop and learn to their full potential. That hurts not just individual children and young people, it hurts the world too. This report emphasises the need for putting children’s nutrition rights first. It urges policy makers to consider programs that empower families, children and young people to demand nutritious food, drive food suppliers to do the right thing for children and build healthy food environments for all children. It also highlights the need to mobilize supportive systems – health, water and sanitation, education and social protection to scale up nutrition results for all children. The innovative practices in nutrition management used by countries across the world could also be helpful for policy makers. Click here to read the report.
