There is a huge disparity prevailing in maternal and child mortality across the globe. Although innovative RMNCAH interventions are helping to reduce preventable maternal and child deaths, sustained improvements to RMNCAH cannot be achieved through individual interventions alone. Data show that considerable achievements from investments in MCH programs are not sustained in adolescence since reduction in child mortality was not reflected by a similar reduction in adolescent death. This article outlines the gaps at regional levels and emphasizes the need for countries to streamline the “Leave no one Behind” strategy in order to achieve RMNCAH targets defined in SDGs. It can be a useful resource for policy makers. Click here to read the document.
