This document presents a summary of the status of reproductive health among India’s urban poor. The data for this work comes from the National Family Health Survey 3 and 4. A comparison of the reproductive health status of urban poor families against wealthier families and families in rural areas has been drawn. Along with a commentary on the overall analysis, the report provides a detailed picture of each of the following themes: early marriage and pregnancy, knowledge and use of family planning methods, and fertility. This document is relevant for NGOs and public healthcare organizations that design and implement programs for reproductive health.
