Two groups in India who face high risk and incidence of HIV are Men who Have Sex with Men (MSM) and MSM sex workers. These groups are highly marginalized and stigmatized, which increases barriers to accessing essential health services. This article studies the methods and protocols of a psychosocial community intervention to raise awareness amongst MSM for HIV prevention in Mumbai and Chennai. Currently, there are no HIV prevention programs for MSMs that address psychosocial problems, making this study unique and critical. The model, methodology, and findings of this study can prove useful in developing interventions that can be replicated across the country for these beneficiaries.
