Reclaim the Gains

01 Apr 2021
Health System Strengthening

by Global Financing Facility 30 MIN READ

The GFF launched a US$ 1.2 billion campaign to support the world’s poorest countries to protect and reclaim the gains in the health of women, children and adolescents made before the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding will support communities to access the services they need, helping to save lives, and build the human capital needed for a resilient recovery. The urgent call is part of total $2.5. billion needed by 2025 to reclaim pre-pandemic health gains and save 18 million lives. This evidence can be used by policy makers and healthcare providers to define strategies to stop the secondary crisis and reclaim the gains of the past.
