Prevention and Treatment of Monkeypox

29 Nov 2022

This document is an opinion piece on the prevention and treatment of Monkeypox. In most cases Monkeypox is a self limiting disease and the disease is self - limiting with no need for specific therapy. However the prognosis for monkeypox may depend on multiple factors such as the individuals initial health status, previous vaccination status, and comorbidities. The article suggests that developing personalized treatments based on the individual risk of developing severe illness appears to be the most reasonable strategy.
