The global HIV response was off track even before the COVID-19 pandemic, but the collision of COVID-19 and HIV has sent it back further. This report outlines the successes and shortcomings of the fast track targets that expired at the end of 2020. It also outlines the global 2025 targets for AIDS response, that are far more granular than the 2020 targets. The report outlines are new strategy for reaching the 2025 targets, in the context of COVID-19. The strategy is focused on putting people at the center.
