Pledge to Prevent Malnutrition in Mother & Child

14 Oct 2021

Expectant mothers often do not get enough love and care during their pregnancy. In this video women are seen taking a pledge to take full care of the comfort, nutrition and supplements requirements of their pregnant daughter-in-law. Young men are also seen taking a pledge to take utmost care of their wife during pregnancy. Women are seen taking a pledge to feed their newborn with their first thick milk (colostrum), and breastfeed the baby for the first six months . Parents can also be seen taking pledge not to marry their daughters till they become 18 years of age. This video is aimed at creating awareness about the need for pre and ante natal malnutrition in mother and child and hopes to encourage the community to take action in reducing the incidence of malnutrition. It can be used by Aanganwadi , ASHA and ANM workers as well as the healthcare centers.  Click here to view the video.
