The World Health Organization (WHO) has now released the WHO AWaRe (Access, Watch, Reserve) antibiotic book, which offers clear, research-based instructions on how to use antibiotics that are listed on the Model Lists of Essential Medicines maintained by the WHO. More than 30 of the most prevalent clinical infections in children and adults, in both primary healthcare settings and hospitals, are covered, along with information on the best antibiotic to use, how much to take, how to administer it, and how long to treat them.
