by Institute of Development Studies 240 min read

Engaging men to end gender-based violence (GBV) has an immense and measurable impact. This guidebook shares personal experiences and motivations of men who have engaged in curbing GBV, potential strategies for male-centric interventions, and focus points for practitioners to trigger behavior change in both communities and institutions. Drawing on the learnings of the Mobilizing Men Program implemented in India, Kenya, and Uganda, it analyzes different approaches to address the various forms of male privilege. This document is an essential resource for advocacy and for social behavior change experts working in the field of women empowerment.
