If all countries achieve SDG targets related to reducing child mortality by 2030, 11 million lives under the age of 5 will be saved. Towards this end, UN IGME investigates the annual progress in reducing child mortality, both from a demographic and a geographic standpoint. This report outlines key trends, challenges, risk factors, and areas of action that could help nations achieve this crucial goal.
