The Evidence Gap Map (EGM) focuses on low- and middle-income countries; it brings impact evaluations and systematic reviews of Social, Behavioral, Community Engagement (SBCE) interventions to improve Reproductive, Maternal, and Child Health (RMNCH+A) in communities. A product of systematic research on studies published between 2000-2016, it describes the characteristics of impact evaluation, and systematic reviews while highlighting the gaps. It is an interactive map accompanied by a report for researchers, decision-makers, and program designers. Commissioned by WHO to identify possible areas of future research, the map has been designed to support the implementation of effective and sustainable programs and direct research funding where it is most needed.
