by Partners for Law in Development, SAMA Resource Group 120 MIN READ

This report is the first national inquiry on sexual and reproductive health undertaken on behalf of the National Human Rights Commission. It maps critical concerns pertaining to sexual health and reproductive health as two distinct but partially overlapping concerns in India. The distinct and separate elaboration of the two thematic domains have been dealt with in parts I and II of this report respectively. This report also makes recommendations based on assessment of amendments and strengthened law, policy and program; improved access to quality healthcare and comprehensive information, enhanced capacities of human resources for health and redressal mechanisms towards accountability and quality. The study provides useful insights for consideration by policy makers in the efforts of strengthening the health systems. Click here to read the report.
