Hepatitis A vaccine should receive priority in National Immunization Schedule in India

Hepatitis A is an acute liver illness that is often self-limiting and brought on by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). The virus can only be found in humans. In India, where HAV is prevalent, the majority of people acquire asymptomatic immunity as early as childhood. Hepatitis A vaccination is available in India for those who can afford it, but the Indian government should make this vaccine a top priority in the country's immunisation programme.
