This guidance was developed with a view to enabling program development in menstrual health and hygiene (MHH). It is also aimed at programs in communications for development, adolescent development and participation, and disability. This document is intended to help advance realisation of targets contained in UNICEF’s Strategy for WASH 2016- 2030, the Strategic Plan 2018-2021, and Gender Action Plan 2018-2021. It is structured into five sections focused on the global opportunity in MHH, programme design process, core package of interventions, MHH for girls and women in vulnerable situations and finally learning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. The last section of the guidance provides an overview of the global monitoring and evaluation frameworks for MHH. This guidance may be useful for implementing advance menstrual health and hygiene programs at a national and sub-national level. Click here to access the guidance document.
