Global Tuberculosis Report - 2020

23 Mar 2021
Tuberculosis

by World Health Organization 120 MIN READ

This year’s World Health Organization (WHO) global TB report provides an opportunity to reflect on progress made in the fight against TB in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. It also puts into perspective the current and potential impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, in eroding the hard-won gains of recent years. High-level commitments have galvanized global, regional and national progress towards ending TB, but urgent and more ambitious investments and actions are required to put the world on track to reach the end TB targets, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.  This evidence can be used by policy makers to realign their TB program financing in the context of the ongoing pandemic.
