HIV/AIDS

This report presents the results of a pilot conducted in Mumbai, where HIV positive men who have sex with men (MSM) were recruited and given monetary incentives to contact other MSM through social media, to encourage them to avail HIV testing services. Given that MSM use social media for seeking partners, the pilot utilized messaging on social media platforms, particularly dating sites, to reach the target population. This report is useful for program implementers as it provides a deeper understanding of HIV prevention tools in communities and how detection can take place through community mobilization.
