Given the magnitude of India's family planning program, there is a need to strengthen coordination amongst various stakeholders as well as to focus on planning, monitoring, training and procurement. Despite serious efforts and progress, India has yet to achieve its family planning goals. This article makes suggestions for the way forward to achieve the targets, given the importance of family planning in achieving the overall SDG targets. It also shines a light on the importance of a shared vision amongst key stakeholders, which include the government, civil society organizations and private providers. It can be helpful for policy makers reviewing progress of FP 2020 program and planning for the FP 2030 program. Click here to read the article.
