A comprehensive, multi-partner initiative, the Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP), calls on all stakeholders to take action to improve access to services and the quality of care for all pregnant women and newborns. This document highlights the fact that on current trends, more than 60 countries are unlikely to meet the SDG target for reducing newborn mortality. It also enumerates the Every Newborn targets set for 2025. Finally, it highlights the milestones and actions to be taken towards these milestones to guide countries in reaching the Every Newborn coverage targets by improving maternal and newborn survival and health and preventing stillbirths. It can be a useful document for those designing programs to meet the Every Newborn commitments. Click here to access the document.
