This resource offers practical methodological guidance for country immunization program staff and their consultants and technical teams planning to carry out exercises that involve primary data collection focused on assessing the costs of routine immunization services, including delivery costs of those services, through retrospective costing.  It emphasizes methodological issues related to data collection and analysis, including resource measurement methods, aggregation of costs from sample estimates, determinants/contextual factors for explaining/ predicting cost variation, and efficient sample design.
