Over its four-year operation, USAID-initiated Tuberculosis Health Action and Learning Initiative (THALI), has successfully seeded various community engagement programs as part of its key strategy. Community Engagement involves effectively identifying and treating people with TB by integrating community-based work of previously unengaged non-governmental organizations (NGO), urban local bodies and civil society organizations. This document summarizes the process and steps take by THALI for the community engagement interventions. These include evidence on THALI's partnership building, stakeholder mapping and engagement, vulnerability mapping, organizing health and nutrition camps amongst others. This snapshot of an effective community engagement program is a helpful reference for implementing organizations seeking to engage with communities for TB interventions.
